As the first post, I would like to start with the new field I coped up recently.It is going to be somewhat introductory.Hacking,you might be thinking that this is the cool terminology which will make you to make an impression among your friends and colleagues😁. Well,you may be right,it can be.I also thought the same thing when I got interested in it just like the curious kid playing with an object and finding number of ways to turn up the object.

Hacking has been a part of computing since decades.Hacking is the process of finding the possible entry holes that exist in a computer system and entering into them.Hacking is actually done to gain unauthorized access to a computer system,to check vulnerabilities in a network(known as ethical hacking/penetration testing) and to steal sensitive information from the computer.

A computer enthusiast who does hacking is called a Hacker.Hackers are those who seek knowledge and attempt to play with computer systems.In our media a hacker is considered as suspect and people always frighten to give them their mobile,IP address,laptop(these things are going on with me😀,yet I can't do them😊) but that is not the part,we will be discussing types of hackers further.Here is the list of some reasons why people indulge in hacking activities:

 

 1.Just for fun(as me👍)

        2.Show-off😎

        3.Steal important information

        4.Damaging the system(Most of black-hat hackers)

        5.Money extortion

        6.System security testing(Most white-hat hackers)

        7.Privacy hampering(Many black and grey-hat hackers)

Why hackers are important😎❤:

To catch a thief,you must think like a thief.That's the basis of ethical hacking.Knowing that your enemy is critical and important also.We also need to hack our own systems in order to find loopholes in administration.

Types of Hackers:

1.White Hat Hackers:

The term "white hat" refers to an ethical computer hacker,or a computer security expert,who ensures the security of an organization's information systems.They are referred to as good hackers.

2.Black Hat Hackers:

They are also known as crackers.They usually have extensive knowledge about breaking into computer networks and bypassing security protocols.They are also responsible for writing malwares.Black hat hacking is always illegal because of its bad intent which includes stealing corporate data,violating privacy,damaging network communication,etc.

3.Grey Hat Hackers:

This term refers to a computer hacker who may sometimes violate ethical standards but does not have malicious intent as like black hat hacker.Their intent is to bring the weakness to the attention of owners and getting appreciation as in the form of money or bounties.

4.Script Kiddies:

A script kiddie is one who lacks programming knowledge and uses existing software to launch the attack.Often a script kiddie will use these programs without even knowing how they work or what they do.

5.Hacktivists:

A hacktivist is a hacker who utilizes technology to announce a social,ideological,religious or political messages.Most of hactivism involves website defacement or service attacks.

Your overall goals as an ethical hacker are to:

👉prioritize your systems so you can focus your efforts on what matters.

👉hack your system in good intent and non-destructive manner.

👉enumerate vulnerabilities
👉apply results to remove the vulnerabilities and better secure your systems.
